Growing up in a little town in Santa Cruz county, Dr. Davis studied Biology at UCSC (Go Banana Slugs!) before finishing her undergraduate work at San Jose State.  She then traveled across the nation to Philadelphia to attain her DMD (Doctor of Medical Dentistry) from Temple University.

She did very well in her studies, finishing in just over three years, and receiving honors on such work as “Dental Approaches to the Treatment of Sjogren Syndrome”.

After dental school, Dr. Davis moved back to southern California where she
completed a year long residency in comprehensive esthetics and cosmetic dentistry. After receiving board certification, she worked for a number of Los Angeles area dental offices, before buying her own practice in Lancaster, CA.

She might still be in the Antelope Valley, had she not met the future father of her children; Justin Davis (the other Dr. Davis) who was finishing his family practice residency in Irvine, CA.

After some cajoling and a few bribes (rumored to have been a horse with a giant bow), Dr. L. Davis was persuaded to return to the Central Coast to begin their family (Justin was born and raised in Paso Robles).  Though at first dismayed by the lack of Big Malls, Dr. Davis was quickly overcome by the beauty and friendship of the Central Coast.

Though Dr. Davis has many hobbies, from cooking and snow skiing to playing tennis and hiking; these all became a little less important after their daughter Skye was born. It was Skye that made Dr. Davis truly appreciate the Central Coast, a place where she can dedicate herself to her patients and her community, a place where a smile and a handshake mean what they should.
